Total Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Unless you are buying two, then it will not work. The monitor screen size is determined from corner to corner, not side to side. The MFD's measure 10" on the inside of the two outter bezels when placed side by side. The actual width of the 10" LCD monitors is closer to 9.7" and that includes the bezel of the monitor, so you'll only have about 8" or so actual viewing width.

I mis-spoke....the mpnitors are 7", made by samsung syncmaster. I saw a video on youtube by a group in China that had implemeted them. I do intend to buy 2 and hope there is enough area to see the info, they are 800 x 480 resolution. priceis right..under 100 bucks each. Thanks for the input and any further advice is appreciated. shu77 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Theres been some info on these forums about these USB monitors not being so fast, but I cant speak from experience on them. I can say though having the external MFD's to a 19 inch screen is excellent. hassata Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 ^ that, definitely. Although if I had a do-over, i would seriously consider a 23 inch touch screen on which to velcro the mfds and also run Helios. It is nice having a separate mfd unit though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
