Frostiken Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I couldn't seem to easily find information on this... my pitot probe got a bit... 'damaged' when most of my right wing became separated from my aircraft, making judging airspeed pretty difficult. Is there a backup airspeed mode, perhaps derived from GPS data I could switch to? GGTharos Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Yes. Put your CDU in 'POS' mode, and switch the airspeed indication to 'GS'. It isn't airspeed, but it should serve you well enough near the ground. I might be wrong, but I think you can also put GS on your HUD. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
92nd-MajorBug Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I think you can also put GS on your HUD. Yup, you can put the IFFCC switch back to "test", select "display modes", and change the "airspeed" setting to "GS" 92nd Kodiak Air Force - May the Greuh be with you
