Hello all

Just have to say, what an amazing sim !

I am having a couple issues with the A10 Sim. I get a stretch effect of the display once the sim loads. I currently have an eyefinitey setup. Everything looks very short and wide.

Ive tried various settings to no avail. In the past week, I installed, uninstalled, patched 3 times, and it seems as the patch made it worse (1.0.6 + 1.0.7). Also, I get a blue transparent bar at the top of my display while in flight - and it does not go away in any view. When looking around in certain views, this bar will sometimes invert itself onto the bottom; but never disappears.

My specs are:

AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 4.3ghz (watercooled)

Gigabyte 890gpa_udh3

8gb OCZ DDR3 Ram

(2x) Crucial C300 64gb SSD

1tb Samsung F3

(2x) Sapphire 2gb 6950 (unlocked + overclocked @ 880mhz)

(x3) 23inch Samsung 2333t Displays

850 watt Kingwin PSU

I also get sub-par FPS within the 28 average range.. I read here to turn off HDRS (please forgive me if I spelled it incorrectly). I've turned the textures to medium and everything else is at low.

I have the cockpit res @ 1024 (not every frame) and my res is 6048*1080.

If someone could point me in the right direction (as to what search terms i could use) or any help would be  ..

Also, I've tried setting the displays to "3" and I also tried "1" and the latter is even more "stetched"

Thanks!

To pin your problem down:

Please post your used aspect ratio.

Even better would be to post your options.lua:

WindowsXP: rootfolder of DCS Warthog>MissionEditor>data>scripts

Example:

G:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\MissionEditor\data\scripts\options.lua

Windows7: Due to windows7 requirements settings are saved on your system drive in the "Saved Games" folder of your active profile of Win7.

*User*>Saved Games>DCS Warthog>Config

Example:C:\Users\PeterPank\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\options.lua

Also post a Photo of your problem.

I have a slight guess about the stretching , but need your info to nail it down and give you a fix.

Thank you for the fast help.

I think I fixed it. I was using Bezel Management at the res @ 6048x1080, and I switched the resolution to 5760x1080, which got rid of the weird stretch effect.

The FPS are way much better, and the sim is much more playable. I am getting various micro stutters. I see there are threads about that and I will research it to see if any fixes found can be applicable to me.

With my system specs, is it normal to have the visual details down to low? Texture is set at medium and everything else is set low. if I change anything, it cripples the sim and framerates are at 13 or so average.

TSAA is unchecked and HDR is as well.

Again, thank you.!
