zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 22, 2005 Author Posted July 22, 2005 What exactly do you mean, explain please. I can't create AVI, the sim crashes.. Many people told me to check if the mission has DAY1 setted.. but I have no idea about what they mean.. This was the post where I asked informations: http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/829104012/m/4091027723/r/5181064133#5181064133 Robbie.
Weta43 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I think they mean in the briefing for the mission (where you set the start time) that it has to be on day 1 of the campaign Cheers.
bSr.LCsta Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Where do I set DAY1 in mission to convert to AVI ? Thanx Here you go....This is the "Breifing" screen. is this ok?
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Ok it's day 001 00:10:00:, when I click on start recording.. I just get the loading page for half a second then computer exit to windows with a medium small black box in center monitor and lock on sound.. nothing else happens... Robbie.
Guest ruggbutt Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 You have codecs that aren't compatible. The Huffy codec crashes me to desktop. There are several codec packs that cause this. I'd recommend removing them. I have the SLD codec pack v1.5.3 and it works great and doesn't crash my game. It also has all the codecs I need for watching movies on Media Player.

I've already removed it ... and I'm exporting uncompressed with same bug.. Robbie.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Now I did the same recording but using Divx at 50%, 400x300 pixels and I see an ingame frame in the center of the desktop but everything is freezed... Robbie.
Guest ruggbutt Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Some of the codecs really suck for exporting. I recommend using Alparysoft codecs. Google it, it's free and works just about as good as Huffy did w/1.02.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 no way man, now it doesn't crash, I see loading page, sound recording then debriefing page, I cecked out but no files present in movies folder... Is there anything I should do in track editing or I just have to select a track, select the start stop points and press record ? What settings do u use? (I wanna made a test with same as your and see if it works..) Robbie.
Guest ruggbutt Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Just do a 10 second track. Use Alparysoft, and record audio uncompressed, 25fps, 1024x768 resolution. The movie should end up in your Lock On/Movies folder.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Now I tried everything uncompressed and quality to 100% (it was always 25%) and it works. May be is about the 100% instead of 25% Another question: if I have to record 5 seconds video after 2 hours track it's damn long, it plays all tracks at high speed then it records, same (or longer) for audio.. same for you? Robbie.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Ah ah, now I have the video (it took 5 minutes to render 10 seconds) and the audio is not the one from the game but from the MIC in the moment of the render (me talking to my kittens..) eh eh, avi recorder sucks! I'm gonna use fraps again.. ED if u say something about it it would be really appreciated! Robbie.
Guest ruggbutt Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 To record sound you need to go to your soundcard software and "re-route" your sound recording. It was picking up what was in your mic. Change the input from mic to "What you hear" or whatever equivalent you have in your soundcard software.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 yee ok, but what is AVI RECORDER? a tool??????? this is a piece of not working tool for me... Robbie.
