I have a AMD Phenom II X2 555 Callisto BE 3.2GHz AM3 overclocked to 3.5GHz. It is dual core, obviously. I know that Black Shark doesn't really take direct advantage of dual cores, except minorly. I have a socket AM3 motherboard. I am just wondering if there is a better CPU (that will give noticeable fps improvement) I can buy without having to change out my motherboard.

There are a bunch of better multiple cored socket AM3 processors, but since BS cant really take advantage of the multiple cores, I'm not sure any would really provide a noticeable improvement. Am I wrong?

Have you tried unlocking the core? I unlocked my 560 and now I got 4 cores and so far have been great in BS. I know unlocking does not mean you will get 4 cores but I think it i worth the try. I upgraded from a q6600 so maybe is just the upgrade.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.
