Creating a custom skin, stuck when done editing the bitmap

Recommended Posts

So, I found the tutorial on skinning the A10 by the 25th. Cool.

I did me some editing and now am done with applying changes to the a-10c_def_1-a file.

I subsequently saved it in photoshop as a 24bit windows *.bmp.

Now I can't open that file in TheCompressonator to compress the texture and thus create a *.dds from it.

What do I have to do, to get the file back into TheCompressonator and save it as a dds with Mips and compression?

I ended up using the DXTBMP myself. Compressonator just didn't work for me

Yeah I dont think I bothered generating MIPS, I just saved the file as a DDS, it worked for me.

I know the guide doesnt mention where to drop the files but I think I posted the folder it in the original thread, which was something like 'like my jet'
