Kankkis Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Why my TGP doesen't me often allow to change point/area mode with TMS forward short? It is in INR only.
ttaylor0024 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 It is probably masked. Turn to face the target and you should be able to.
AlphaOneSix Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Yep, on the left side of the HUD there will be an "M" is the target is masked. Even though you may be able to see the target just fine through the TGP, it's close enough to being obstructed that it's unable to lock onto the target point or area. Just maneuver the aircraft to give the TGP a better view, and the "M" will disappear and you will be able to get a lock just fine.
Kankkis Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) Thanks guys for quick answer. How is it, i cannot then maybe to do SPI either if it is masked but picture is clear, or can i make that target to SPI and command my wingmen to attack that SPI target? S77th-konkussion Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Do you mean you cannot set the SPI at all? If so- are you sure that "TMS fwd" is assigned and functioning? [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Kankkis Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 Do you mean you cannot set the SPI at all? If so- are you sure that "TMS fwd" is assigned and functioning? Checked it, i can set SPI. Any tracks to download somewhere where people play thru missions, good way to learn the sim. Kankkis

I think he meant that can he set an SPI without the TGP being in Area/Point Track mode, or in INR mode: Yes, You can - Even if the pod is Masked, it is pointing at a coordinate in 3D space.
