Rocky49 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Is there a problem with this Training Mission? I have done a search of the forums but can't seem to find any mention of problems...I can drop the 12s but the 38 will not drop. slug88 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 You have to hold down the weapon release button for something like a full two seconds for JDAM's (GBU-31 and GBU-38 ). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Rocky49 Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 slug88: I hold the release button down for more than 2 seconds in fact I hold the release button for up to 45 seconds.....approaching level flight...the ASL never falls... mtuckner Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Are you sure you properly designated a SPI through the TGP?
Rocky49 Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Mtuckner I think so. the HUD shows TGP in lower left so I am assuming the system is set up right.. System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
mtuckner Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Well, you need to make sure you have the TGP on the target, then do TMS up long. The tadpole from your TVV should point straight down towards the target as you approach indicating that it is in front and below you. If it is pointing to the left or right it might still be set to your steerpoint or last target. Look for the wedding cake symbol to be over your target on the TAD to be sure.
Villain Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 With the 38 you only press the weapons release button when you get the "man rel" on the left side of the hud, maybe youre pressing it too late or early? I'm no expert but i never fail with the 38s and thats what i do..
mtuckner Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 He said the cue never drops, that makes me think the SPI was not designated correctly. I can't think of why else.
David A Sell Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 He dosen't want the cue to drop does he? rather the ticker in the reticule to unwind Home-Built Rig - | ASUS TUF Z390-Plus| i9 9900k | 2080ti | 32g G.SKILL TridentZ |Samsung 970 evos | Tagan 1100w PS | Warthog Hotas | Track ir 5 | Saitek Pedals | PFT Collective
Rocky49 Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Guys: checked over my controller and found a slightly loose confection between the cables on my X52 Pro...redrew the mission just now and all is working right now....the only thing I wonder about is that the 3rd and 4th when I lock them up with tms up long the view does not go to area and then point but the system does track and the targets are hit. any idea why that would happen...I even unlocked and then reset the spi and lock up the targets System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
mtuckner Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 You can set the SPI to that point where the TGP is looking without doing area or point tracking. It is a separate function, setting the SPI, than what operational mode the TGP is in.
Rocky49 Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 mtuckner thanks for your help System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
