Hi all....

I remember reading somewhere that the AVI recorder is broken for Black Shark..... I can't find it in the search and I have forgotten where the post I read was...

Anyway I tried it myself and It comes up with a runtime error (or something)....

Has anyone got it working and how did you do it?

Thanks!

Mine works as well. I have recently made video, it created it in odd format (Opera video) but I converted it to mpeg and all was fine.

Yes it is patched, but I used 1280x800 resolution (laptop).

Yep I used 1280 * 800 also but I cannot patch black shark to 1.02 as an error occurs when I launch the exe. I can't tell you what the error was as i'm frightened to try again as it took ages to restore. :crash:

Uninstall BS >

Install BS>

put the 1.02 Patch over a clean BS installed 1.0 version no previous patches needed.

Yes patches are accumulated and newest is enough.

OK I'm trying to take the track file out of black shark to store it in my video's while I re-install BS....

However, I can see it in the track list in BS.... but when I look for it in windows explorer, it ain't there... just the 'demo' folder. Where is it?

Edit: No matter just fixed it, I just ran the track again and saved it again in my video's.

Data Virtualization strikes again.

You'll probably find some of these edited and missing files are living in your C:\Users\yourlogon\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\blah (where blah is the normal path to the item from C:, such as Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\missions\tracks).

This was caused by you only having limited permissions with your own normal logon to the location it was trying to write to - for future reference mostly in case you encounter more phantom edits or files that go missing.

Check if you have that VirtualStore folder (and what's inside it) and you'll see where your permissions are limited. It's the only reason the folder gets written to.

I should also mention just in case it's not known, that the AppData folder isn't shown by default in your user folder but it will be there. You can access it if you type it into an address bar though, or navigate with cd in the command prompt.
