Galaad Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 - su25T, shkval turn off, Laser range finder turn on, when i fire my LAST AG missile, kh25L, my aiming mark (pipper?) disappears soon after realased and before the missile hit the target (the laser is always active) - problem with r27t and r27te, the launch autotisation is active only at 7km, head to head launch Sorry for my bad english

The R73, R27T, and R27ET should all hence have similar ranges head on, since the seeker lock is the limiting factor. What the R27T and -ET are really designed for is a high-speed tailchase. The R73 may be able to see the hot engines going away at high speed, but won't have the power to catch them . . . . the R27T and -ET will. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

Say I have two Kh-25Ls loaded, and I lock on to something using the Shkval. I turn on the laser and fire the first one - it works fine. When I fire the second one, the pipper sometimes (but not always) jumps back to the centre of the HUD, meaning that that missile (and the first one if it's still in the air) loses track of the laser and explodes in midair. The laser doesn't turn off - it just jumps to the middle of the HUD as if I'd pressed Ctrl-I.
