Hey all, I just recently found about Tacview and was wondering if there is a way to convert my old .trk files that were saved before I installed this program? Thanks in advance!

AFAIK .acmi files are recorded by TACview, not actually converted .trks.

You could try replaying the track with TACview set to record DCS: A-10 and it might generate a .ACMI file from the replay...

Just confirmed this. Worked perfectly but I did not use any time acceleration, just let the track play through and saved it as a different name when it was completed.

Thanks!

Please note that the replay of a trk used to be imperfect, so TacViews recorded from a trk replay would differ from a TacView recorded 'live' from a game.

I think trk playback has been improved recently in a patch (although I have not tested whether it is 'perfect' yet).

So, please be aware (and don't be surprised) there may be some difference between a 'live' generated TacView and a track-replay generated TacView.

From what I have watched it seemed very close to the actual flight, from take off to landing.

I have not had a chance to really get into the intricacies of Tacview, but both the .trk and .acmi replays looked accurate to me.
