Here's extremely simple JTAC mission, for those who want to practice or just spend time with JTAC calls. Not sure how the loadout of the plane looks in other computers, since I have my custom loadouts. Maybe you need to do your own, dunno.

Default is:

2x CBU-97

2x GBU-12

2x GBU-38

6x Mavs

.. oh take good speed when taking off.....

You need to contact JTACs, they inform you targets and you can use coordinates, or TAD to locate them.

Hi Iceman,

thanks for the mission. Should we be able to receive messages from the JTAC? He gives me me the UTM in the 9-line, but nothing comes over when he says 'stand by data'.

Is there a list anywhere that has which units in the sim are ELPRS capable?

Not that I know of, but I know for certain that the Humvees have it.

EDIT:- If you go though the list of vehicles in Unit type and view the Advanced waypoint actions - ELPRS will be automatically turned on in the Advanced waypoint actions for the unit that have that capability.

Also, going back to your first post just now, the notice that Mission removed is now gone and the missions are back....When did you change the missions?

Oh, they're not changed all JTACs are same just needed to post that earlier back but forgot..

Your problem then... when your targets seem to be far away and UTM coordinates all wrong, they're not. you have had 37T as grid, which is wrong when JTAC gives you for example KM123123. A* - G* are in 37T grid and rest are in 38T grid. So you need to change the grid when making waypoint by typing "38T" and then press grid lsk button so it changes them. Again making another waypoint check if UTM coordinates begin with A,G or K,E,L whatever and change the grid accordingly.

Here's a 'little' map from which you can see ... well things

So is this a bug or just a situation because the Map we fly on straddles two grids.

What Page do you change the Grid on....Is it system/Ins/position? and if so how do you get to that page?

Slacker

The Grid T37 or T38 will show on the New Waypoint page I am trying to create? Which LSK would it be. I have never noticed this T37 or T38 when trying to set up a new waypoint.
