KastaRules Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) Hello, I searched around looking for an answer but I could not find one. I own Black Shark, FC2 and A-10C, and I format my OS once in a while. I would like to know if it is possible to backup a folder/registry key and restore it after the OS has been formatted in order NOT to waste another activation. I just need to know where they are located. I know we get new activations once we finish the old ones anyway, but I see no reason to waste them like that if it is possible to backup the stored information. Thank you. sofie_59 Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) I dont think you will loose any activations, if you just reinstall your os But you allways can deactivate Black Shark,FC2, A-10C first to be safe. And welcome to this grate forum,Just ask eny questions you may have and there is allways someone with the right answer to your Question. sobek Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) I dont think you will loose any activations, if you just reinstall your os That is not true. The OS is an integral part by which your machine is identified, a reinstall of your OS will necessitate a reactivation. To not lose an activation, you will need to deactivate before formating your drive. Edited June 22, 2011 by sobek Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa!
