Frostiken Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 On the topic of actually putting the ME distances and altitudes into a standard format for American aircraft, one thing that constantly bugs me is the date format. See, for some reason day '0' is June 1st... if / whenever we change the ME to work in feet and pounds, can we also work the date into a universal format: JULIAN DATE? Whenever I want to set a specific date, it's kind of dumb I have to use a website to calculate how many days 'off' of June 1st my desired day is, rather than using the universal constant of a julian date (ie: the number of the day starting from Jan 1st). I'd be all for this if they simultaneously removed the ability for the mission editor to work in feet and pounds. Hey, Frostie, you like the imperial system then, could you PM me your cell number so that next time I'm told to add "a quart of" whatever it is, I can call you to find out WHAT THE IN THE #$%#ING @$#$# that is in cups? I'm tired of having to use google :D Ok on a more serious note, yea, you're kinda right, but once you understand that it's June 1, it's not that hard to adjust. What would be really awesome is if we could just select the date on a gui calender. Speed Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 I knew I had seen it somewhere. Go to your main A-10C directory, then Config\World\World.lua, open that file with notepad++ and see what changing the "MissionDate" variable might do for you. I've never tried, so who knows.
