After seeing Mr Burns homebrew UFC panel from a mini USB keyboard, I decided to make my own, although I am only using a standard keyboard.

I have programmed the macros, and assigned them as UFC keyboard commands in the options menu. All appears to work normally at this point, with the modifiers being added and recognised when I press the key I want to assign a UFC command to.

When I go into the sim however, the controls I've assigned to the UFC only work when I use the modifier keys with the assigned key, and don't work when I just use the assigned key.

Any help appreciated.

I believe that Mr Burns is having the same issue, but he's currently without a PC so isn't able to test. The problem is that DCS grabs the keyboard input directly so it sees the direct key press but then also the second key press that HIDMACRO sends.

So if you map keys in HIDMACRO so that they do not have an alternate use it should work however if you map something like G for example to be CDU G, it will put the gear down in addition to adding a CDU G. The developer had a look at the issue and suggested there wasnt a simple work around.

At the moment I think the best solution is to find a way to make a USB keyboard appear as another type of device i.e. (a joystick) so that the keystrokes are seen as unique, however I haven't had any joy in trying to identify how to do this.
