How can I make an SA-11 fire at me?

I put the CC, LN and SR versions of the SA-11 into a test mission but they still won't fire at me. All I get is the Snow Drift contact on my RWR. I thought that the LN was the launcher, the SR was the radar and the CC was the command centre that got information from the SR and told the LN where to fire.

 

Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

@Alexrey, those 3 items need to be part of the same unit, and not 3 different units.

For the life of me I can't get them into the same unit. I tried renaming each unit's unit name to "1", but then they became "1", "1 #001", 1 #002" etc.

No need to rename them, they only need to be in the same group. See the GUI manual if you don't know how to add more than one unit to a group.

Ahhhh ok, easy.

 

1. Select the unit you want to add (Say SA-11 LN). It will be displayed on the map.

2. While unit is selected, add more units of that type by selecting the right arrow in the "of" section of "Unit 1 of 1". You will want to show "3" in the "of" section, because SA-11 is a 3-unit system. You will know it worked because you will see 3 SA-11 LN appear on the map.

3. Select unit 2, and change its type to SA-11 CC

4. Select unit 3, and change its type to SA-11 SR

 

You now have 1 group of 3 units :)
