Here, I came up with several questions that I do not understand or would like to know through the manuals of Mission Editing. I'll be glad if you can answer some.

1. "FLAG IS TRUE. When selected, a FLAG field is displayed below. By either using the left and right arrows or typing in the field, set the flag number that when set to true will set the condition to true." Pg.76. Before you answer, I might want to know what is flagging? Just give a Brief answer...So, what does that sentence mean anyway. What will happen if I use this trigger?

2. Is it possible to group 2 Aircraft group of their maximum value so that would be...8 aircraft in 'formation'?

3. What is best set of Air Defense Ground Unit for USA and Russia? I would REALLY LIKE to know this, because I tried few SAM units on excellent and still...I manage to penetrate through thier zone and destroy them.

4. "UNIT IN ZONE. When creating a Trigger Zone (discussed later in this document), you can set......" Pg.77 Is it possible...instead of using single units? Why don't we just put "coalition in zone" So if the blue team enters the red zone, BOOM? If you get what I mean

5.......? Maybe I would stay with 4 ques at first then. More questions will be posted. Others are welcome to ask in this thread also so that many more others could be help or be helped through/from your mission editing experience. Thank you members of forum eagle

OK. I hope this helps

1: A flag is kind of a variable. You can set it to any number you like and that becomes it's name. For example, you can use them to delay units, messages, any other action with the Time since flag which is the time since the flag is set. Useful when wanting to have a conversation. It's a marker that can be on or off(True or False) I find it difficult to explain.

2: No is the simple answer. I hope for this too so setting up an escort is easy.

3: For Russia the S-300 system has a long range and is effective.

For USA I would suggest the Patriot system or the Hawk system. They are quite similar I think.

4: I don't quite understand what you're asking here. What instead of using single units? Sorry.

Last thing. Welcome.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

thanks jonay. thank you very much. um no.4, i would probably meant something like, setting the whole blue team at once. instead of assign the triggers to one by one of those units.

Ah I see. I don't think you can. To activate an entire coalition you would just have to use lots of activate group triggers for each group in the coalition.

There is away around that only uses three triggers, see this post by Mbot.

In your case it would look like:

CONTINUOUS // FLAG IS FALSE (1) // SET FLAG (1)

SWITCHED CONDITION // UNIT OUTSIDE ZONE (Unit 1, Zone 1) && UNIT OUTSIDE ZONE (Unit 2, Zone 1) && TIME SINCE FLAG (1,1) // CLEAR FLAG (1)

ONCE // TIME SINCE FLAG (1,2) // MESSAGE ("Unit 1 or Unit 2 is inside Zone 1")

There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Anyone,

In the BS 1.0.1 GOW mission ATO-C-P2.4.MIZ the object is to fly to two waypoints. When within each waypoint zone a score is added via the "unit inside zone". However, the zone score goes back to zero when you leave the zone. How can I make the score stick when I leave a zone so that it adds to the total mission score?:helpsmilie:

Thanks

Just noticed this, don't know if it still helps but, unit in zone-Set flag 1- (in the trigger menu.)

In the missions goals menu when flag 1 is true add score. Flag 1 will stay on even when you leave the zone. As for no.4 you get coalition in zone in BS2 and A-10C as well as FC3.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

F-16? There is no flyable F-16 in FC2.
