I bought FC2 (English download version) today. Also I'm waiting for TrackIR 5 delivery.

 

Is an activation/deactivation procedure needed for TrackIR 5?

 

Because I read an article about this and it says: "Changing your hardware or software should need an activation. Deactive before changing your hardware".

Think of it as installing a new joystick: you won't need to reactivate there either :)
