Username455 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I tried searching, but I apologize if I missed it.. I recently tried my luck at the campaign and got confused by the order of the missions. In the campaign folder I see Push 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 2-1 etc.. So I figure it would play 1-1, followed by 1-2, and progress that way. however, I started at 1-1, then the next mission was 2-1, followed by 3-1. I failed 3-1 and decided to restart the campaign. I noticed that the first mission this time was 1-2. I got confused, and hit the restart campaign button again, which put me back to 1-1. Am I missing something or is this correct? kylania Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Shouldn't you start the campaign from the Campaign option and not just running the missions directly? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Username455 Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 I do use the campaign option, I was just looking at the files out of curiosity System: i7 920 @3.8ghz; GTX 560ti 448; 6gb DDR3 1600 ram; 750gb HDD; 750w PSU; Win7 64bit; x52 Pro; TrackIR 5
EtherealN Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 The campaign system progresses in stages. Each stage can contain one or several missions; if it contains several, one of them will be chosen. (And there are rules the designer can set to govern which one is chosen. It can also be random.) Essentially, combined with randomizations within the mission, it's there to make a stage not be exactly the same every time. :) So the naming would be 1-1 for "stage 1 mission 1", 1-2 for "stage 1 mission 2", and perhaps 3-4 for "stage 3 mission 4". If playing through the campaign interface, don't worry about it. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
