PeterP Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) - reads like a corrupt file download - Do you tried to re-download BlackShark again? Link:http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=135&scr=products&lang=en Try to (don't try.. - there is only a: Do it - or do not! ;) ) -...reload the files! Edit: can't say more because you didn't add more info (Your System/where you downloaded/and so on. ...)...but anyway...(even if you add missing info..)- my first guess would be that the downloaded files are corrupt! A little example : I have installed DCS:A10c on my EEE-Pc and it works fine as long I only use the mission-editor and don't try to start the simulation....:D -so- long story short.... it should install fine even if your system don't match all requirements... as long the files are in good shape ! - and your error matches to a corrupt download. EtherealN Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Code 2 means the file isn't even there. (Corrupt CAB is code 13) Basically, looks like you have downloaded the setup file, but not data1.cab. The latter must be present in the same directory as the setup file. johonwayni Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Re-downloading and try to establish.
EtherealN Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 johonwayni, there is no need to download setup.exe again. That file is fine. Your error appears like you do not have data1.cab in the same directory. Download that if you do not already have it, or move it to the same directory as setup.exe if you have it downloaded but somewhere else. NOTE: Do not unzip the data1.cab. It is fine as downloaded. johonwayni Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 This is the file: http://http1.files.eagle.ru/v2/dcs/software/ka50_black_shark_en/setup.exe the same error.. I can not understand. also, thank you for interests.
EtherealN Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 there are two files: setup.exe and data1.cab. What is missing is the second file: data1.cab. You need to download that one and have it in the same folder as setup.exe. You have setup.exe. Good. You do not have data1.cab. Bad. Download data1.cab from the download page.
