jockyboy99 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Hi, I'm a newbie to DCS Warthog A10C and looking for a profile for the Tmaster T.Flight Hotas X stick. Can anyone help please??:pilotfly:
guitarwiz1 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have the same question as well. I discovered I can add a modifier switch and use my hat switch for other things as well. Right now I have my hat switch set for viewing, trim, and coolie. (Now if I can only figure out what a coolie is.) I would like to see how you guys that use this stick mapped your buttons. Any advice is helpful. P.S. TrackIR will be here Wednesday, so I need to figure out what to map to the hat switch instead of view controls. mnrty Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I mapped the hat switch to trim after i got trackIR, and foind that very pleasing!:)
CarneyUK Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I have the the Hotas X aswell. I have button 9 and 10 on the throttle set as modifiers. This gives me 3 sets of buttons I can use. I'll try and explain a little here, but it is very much a personel seetup and depends what other input devices you have i.e. track IR etc. I have track IR by the way. No Modifier: Button 1 = fire gun Button 2 = drop/fire bomb/missle Button 3 = Zoom out Coolie hat = Trim Button 5 (throttle) = Brakes Button 6 = Teamspeak chat Button 7 = speed brake out Button 8 = speed brake in Button SE = Autopilot Button ST = change HUD mode i.e. Nav etc Modifier 9 pressed: Button 1 = fire gun Button 2 = drop/fire bomb/missle Button 3 = Steering on/off Coolie hat = Move TGP/TAD marker Button 5 (throttle) = DMS Forward Button 6 = DMS Left Button 7 = DMS Right Button 8 = DMS Aft Button SE = Not used Button ST = Lights on Modifier 10 pressed: Button 1 = fire gun Button 2 = drop/fire bomb/missle Button 3 = Lights Off Coolie hat = Used to switch between left MFD, right MFD or HUD as SOI Button 5 (throttle) = TMS Forward Button 6 = TMS Left Button 7 = TMS Right Button 8 = TMS Aft Button SE = Not used Button ST = Not Used There are loads of different combinations you can have, but it is best to try and figure out what you use the most and what best suits you. With a bit of time and effort you can map the joystick very well. I would say firing weapons, DMS and TMS switches, trim and being able to lock a target up are a must. I have added my setup, but to be honest, it will take you ages to figure out all the controls as I haven't written them all down.CarneyUK Profile HOTAS.luaCarneyUK Profile Keyboard.lua "The sky is not the limit.....it's my playground!!" @paraglidecass

mota67 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Hi ! Thanks for this profile, it really helped me start playing DCS A-10C in good conditions without having to invest a lot of money ! I bought a second-hand T.Flight for 20€ and I use a PSEye with FaceTrackNoIR (~12€) I took dnc's profile and modified it to be able to zoom with the slider
Fenderalac Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) Here you go, Ive been using this one since i heard about DCS. A10C, FC3, Huey, Mig21 bis, TF51 As for the A10C this is the way i work the systems. SLEW - WSAD DMS - LALT WSAD TMS - LCTRL+SPACE (aft), SPACE (fwd), LCTRL + A (left), LCTRL + D (right) BOAT - LSHIFT + 1, 2, 3 COOLIE - LSHIFT + WSAD CHINA HAT - C (aft), V (fwd) CMS - Hatswitch + a modifier on my joystick (nonmodified hat for looking around) Flaps - keyboard default Airbrakes - joystick (with modifier) Throttle left button - modifier #2 + right hat Mic - 1, 2, 3 Pinky - default Modifiers are the 2 buttons behind the throttle, button 9 and 10. This is the way i find most comfortable as you can work all these things with your right hand on the stick and you left one on the keyboard without even looking down at it.Digital Combat Simulator Settings Fenderalac.diff.lua Edited October 29, 2014 by Fenderalac [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I./JG2 Oberleutnant Flieger
