Alphamale Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Any reason why this option was left out of the sim? This game has a nasty habit of crashing during the end of campaigns and thus gives you a mission failure. I can't post a track, because, well, it crashes. No way to identify the problem. Let's say you start a mission and your input devices have a problem so you quit to rescan/reset for USB devices. Mission failed. You're in the middle of a mission and have to attend to something and put game on pause. You come back and game has CTD. Mission failed. You get into the thick of things during the end of a campaign and the video locks up. When you restart the game, mission failed. It's frustrating that there is no basic option to save the campaign at the end of a particular mission in the campaign so you can revisit that progress at a later date. All you can do is restart the campaign. Copying files within a certain folder of the game install does not seem like a user-friendly option either. JUST A BASIC SAVE option is all that's needed. Is that too difficult to put into the game?
SNAFU2000 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 If having a CTD during flight, don´t close the app by clicking OK. Instead kill the launcher.exe. After that, close the DCS.exe. That way nothing will be saved.
