hawkeye62 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Hi guys, complete noob to LockOn FC2 here. I need a guide to tuning my stick. I can fly OK, but the stick is too sensitive and has a tendency to dive and roll to the right. I have been to the correct place, but I am lost as to what the settings mean. For instance, when trying to tune roll, there is a box with a diagonal line, a small black spot on the line and a red dot off the line. What are they and what do they mean? Is there a guide somewhere that explains how to tune? Thanks for any advice, Jim
Haggart Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 What a stick do you posess? You've two possibilitys in my opinion - modify the axis settings in the LOMAC-configuration (via the options-panel) or via a configuration editor for your stick (if there is any - depends on the stick). I'ld recommend your a bit bigger center-deadzone to start with, and then increase the curvature so that it's more flat in the middle and exponetially increasing towards the sides. Experiment! There's no "Overkill". There's only "open fire!" and "time to reload". Specs: i7-980@4,2Ghz, 12GB RAM, 2x GTX480, 1x 8800GTS, X-Fi HD, Cougar, Warthog, dcs-F16-pedals

I have a simple Saitek Cyborg Evo. I now have it set fairly well, no drift with hands off, not too sensitive, etc. Where would I look for a configuration? Thanks for the help, Jim
Haggart Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 The Cyborg Evo is fully programmable by the Saitek Programming Software, which should have been delivered with the stock on the cd - OR, you can download it for free on the saitek-website under downloads. With the profiler software, you've more possibilities to program your stick and in my opinion, it's easier to secure so-saved profiles instead of having to dig through your LOMAC/DCS-folder. Spidey209 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 If you are using the in game settings to adjust your stick, I usually use 25 to 30 on the curve with no deadzone or just a bit on the rudder. In FC1 the Su-25T uses the Advanced Flight Model and it was recommended using no curve, which works for me. I believe it is the same for FC1.
hawkeye62 Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 I have mine set at 30 on the curve and 10 on the dead zone for all three axes. Maybe I will reduce the dead zone. Yes, I have the Saitek CD. I have the buttons 1-6 programmed in DCS for the usual, select weapons, fire, etc. There are other buttons on the base labeled P1-P2 and P4-P5 and two ^ buttons. Are these the ones to program? If so, what kind of stuff are you guys programming? Thanks for the advice, Jim
