Another use of markpoints.

In an unknown threat zone, i will establish a 'run in' point, and a 'break off' point as marks, at a minimum safe distance (which will be determined by the threats) from the target area, while we asses the threats and mark all targets. This i relay to my wingmen as SPI's and he/they create marks with them same as me. If close enough it can be used to launch safely stand off weapons (mav's), and break away clear of any AG threats. Also aids in flight de-confliction, if all follow the same pattern.

Have to agree. One of the greatest changes from the last patch was to be able to see all your mark points at once on the TAD in Mark Mode.

Clever, indeed.

To show you how you are not alone in this, I usually use the Overhead mark button on the UFC to create a mark point on the IP point. So, when I'm using Mark points, I always have a point of reference where to turn to and get out of enemy weapons range.

This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly:
