igeighty Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 Actually have found this game crash to occur throught the campaigns also if you use win+G to order wingman to attack ground, however if you use radio (\ F2 F1) it doesnt crash. C6_Hellfrog Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 yes, I confirm, I think it is because radios commands have been remapped, and using old mappings from BS1 (warthog profile not updated) runs lua code to error.
Nate--IRL-- Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Can't seem to reproduce it. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
igeighty Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 use left win G like it says to do and it crashes. happens in any mission, but using radio menu is ok, as hellfrog mentioned Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4, i5-2500k, 16GB ram, HD5870. Lockon, Flaming cliffs 2.0, Blackshark, Blackshark 2, DCS A10.
Nate--IRL-- Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Yeah I did - in game mode too - no dice. I'm not saying there isn't a problem - it just seems LWIN G doesn't do anything for me. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
igeighty Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Thanks for looking though Nate and C6_hellfrog I first noticed it in game mode, arcade mission because of the tutorial text telling me to press that button combination. the workaround for me is to use the radio commands though. My keyboard mapping in windows is set to US international. Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4, i5-2500k, 16GB ram, HD5870. Lockon, Flaming cliffs 2.0, Blackshark, Blackshark 2, DCS A10.
Nate--IRL-- Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I'll ask the other testers if they can reproduce it. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
jkeiltaylor Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) Game crashes for me too when ordering flight to attack. When using LWin+G, for example, the wingman speech acts like it wants to play but does not. Instead, where messages usually display in the upper left-hand corner, it shows some kind of error message and immediately crashes and brings the game menu back up. I managed to capture a screenshot of the error it displays in the game, although the first part of it seems to be cut off. It says, "...wMessage::buildspeech() -> lua handle() call error: [string "./Sounds/Speech/common.lua"]:152: Phrases: no phrase with number = 1076541163!" Haven't tried it with radio controls yet but it's good to know there is a work-around. My purchase of Black Shark 1 was through Steam, if that makes any difference. Irregular programming Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Ordering wingmen to attack does cause chrashes. Not every time though. I do order through the menu and not in game mode. I don't know if these issues are connected.
