The new DVD version of the HOG!

Does the new DVD version of DCS` Warthog A-10C include the new 1.1.1.0 patch ?

Should I uninstall and delete all current folders of my current beta version of the Hog then install the dvd version? Anyone have a good link explaining this. The install guide did not explain what I should do if I am currently playing the beta version before installing the dvd version. I can`t locate anywhere in my folders what version number I am playing.so I can`t reference it.

If you're referring to the US DVD, it's version 1.1.0.9

 

I bought the DVD at Best Buy (when they finally stocked it) and two days later downloaded the full installer for 1.1.1.0, not the patch that updates from 1.1.0.9. There have been comments in this forum and over at SimHQ that one tends to be better off doing a clean install instead of patching. Yes, I realize the full installer is 4.5GB but the torrent should still be going strong right now and your serial number from the DVD will carry over to 1.1.1.0.

 

Also, uninstalling the DVD and clean installing 1.1.1.0 will not affect any of the settings you may have modified. Those settings are located in a separate folder that isn't affected by the uninstallation (C:\Users\<User Name>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\config).

Question, should I uninstall and delete all folders and traces of my current beta version and all it`s patches before installing the DVD which by the way I also bought at Best Buy.

You still have code from the open beta installed?

 

I'd recommend just uninstalling that normally, then removing the associated SavedGames folder, and then perform install from the DVD and/or download the full 1.1.1.0 installer from digitalcombatsimulator.com and install using that.

Thanks for all the help. Where would all the saved games be located. I assume that if I uninstalled the sim normally that the saved games files would also be included in the uninstall.
