Skyrat Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I'm sure I'm just missing this, although I looked at many posts where it's been hinted at, but I haven't seen a definite answer. I haven't purchased A-10 yet (only own Black Shark #1) so I want to be sure before I do... may even pay for the BS 2 update as well. Okay, question is..... If I used the "Create Fast Mission" (mission generator), can I then turn it into a MP Coop mission? I've made plenty of missions in Lockon/Flaming Cliffs 2 using the mission editor for me and my friend but I really hate that I always know exactly what's going on. I want some surprises as well. So can I just role the dice on the mission generator, and stick another "client" A-10C in there to play a coop mission? Thanks in advance, and I apologize if this has been answered previously. I really did look first! :-) Skyrat Intel i5-2500K @ 3.3Ghz, 16GB, GeForce 780 2GB, MS Sidewinder Precision Pro, Win 7 64-bit. Nate--IRL-- Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Yes it should be easy to do. But note Fast missions work best from an Air start. From a ramp/runway start the Jtac usually gets killed before you get to him. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Revelation Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Going on it further, you can set the JTAC to "invisible" to the enemy. You still will generally get there late if you do a ramp start. If you want to do a ramp start, you will need to do some editing after you create the mission. If you're worried about "knowing" what's out there, simply create multiple groups and give random flags at start. That way you never know which one or how many will be activated at start, but you have just a tad more control over it. One thing I have done before is after the fast mission was generated I duplicated a lot of the units and gave then a random flag for activation. I would then set a trigger condition to make the flag true when the player(s) left a trigger zone covering the airfield. This would also ensure there's something for you to fight when you get on station. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
Skyrat Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Hey Guys, thanks for the information! I used to mess with the mission editor in ARMA and ARMA 2, so I get the percent of probability thing for the randomness of missions. I'll definitely dig deeper into the new and improved mission editor capabilities! Thanks again for the responses.
