Stolen Thread!

I'm serous, somebody stole my thread!

I was about to open a thread about new announcement and the future of EDGE, and boom, my thread's gone! :(

 

Of course I made a joke about F-18E for Rise of Flight, and connected it to DCS Flying Legends, which I think that was the problem! :huh:

 

Anyway, any news about Eagle Dynamics Game Engine (EDGE), DirectX 11, Modularity, Dynamic Campaign, Performance Boost, and new technologies behind the scene?

 

I hope this new game engine has features (or even more) the Outtera has, like:

- Realistic looking terrain with high detail

- Fully asynchronous multi-threaded design able to utilize all available CPU cores

- Terrain and fractal algorithms running completely on the GPU

 

It's my wish to see next US jet aircraft, with new engine, and new terrain:

EDGE + Nevada Terrain + F-18E = DCS: F/A-18E Super Hornet :)

 

Could it be possible to see this carrier ops in DSC:

The thread was moderated as it was OT and dealing with subjects that already have about 5 billion threads running. ;)

 

And no, you will not see rigidly scripted carrier ops in DCS, because turning DCS into a rail-shooter would suck. :P

 

Further, Outerra is not suitable for a product like this. There are already threads on Outerra.
