lawndartleo Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Anybody have a KMZ for Google Earth that covers the theater of operations for DCS A-10C? That would make scouting terrain much easier.
aaron886 Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Quite simple really, just find the southeast corner of the Black Sea and start looking for familiar city names. No need for some kind of overlay. I'm sure you could make one yourself if you were so inclined!
lawndartleo Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Made... I was hoping to save myself the 5 minutes it took. Not the greatest because the northern boundary is a little non nondescript but the KMZ will suffice for sight seeing purposes. Anyone have a suggestion for free web storage? I'd post it up for public use but have no place to put it on the web. Lots to pick from, who's is the best that anyone has found to be as painless as possible to utilize. And need is relative... We don't need to play games but here we are playing them anyways. I just wanted a tool to use within Google Earth to simplify my search for the nastiest terrain possible. I find it entertaining to stick a well guarded target in a sheltered valley and then try to blow it up. Running the gauntlet, as it were. nomdeplume Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 If you use the 'go advanced' button you'll get an option to upload attachments to your post. That's probably the easiest way. You might need to zip the kmz file first though if it's not one the accepted extensions for attachments.
