firestick22 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I finally implemented the Track IR system into my cockpit. Wow, what a hoot! I never realized how much I've been moving my head while flying sims, though. And since I've been at it since the early 90s, I've got come serious bad habits to break. I never realized I move around so much, I must think I'm really flying because my head and body actually mimic the real life movements I would encounter. Has anyone else had this problem? Even with a huge deadzone I'm always fighting to get recentered. How many hours does it take on average to get acclimated to the Track IR system?
HOP_TRIZZ Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Yep, i do the same thing ,its funny i look away from my target for like a 10th of a sec and hay wheres the target? dam i just flew over it....hahahaha! and just think, if you looked at your head movement you would swear it was a bobble head.....
Mustur Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Don't have TIR5 myself (freetrack + wiimote) but I hear having a TIR recenter command mapped somewhere on the HOTAS really helps, and tweaking the sensitivities a bit in the TIR software. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
firestick22 Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 I mapped centering to the lever switch on the warthog, and it does help. I also found adjusting the seat height helps, too. Its a good thing the seat adjusts! Thanks for that DCS!
