After spending a few days behind the stick and reading roughly through the rocket sience manual im allmost at a point to give up on this incredible nice comabt sim. See, i dont own a Hotas. With Lock On FC 2 i was able to setup my control very easily. Now i just dont understand anything from the controls. Following the ingame tuts it freaks me out when hearing things like: Hotas China long short left right through the middle pinky thumb things. I know China is a huge country:megalol:. Sorry very bad joke:music_whistling:

Anyways, setting my button 1 as being the gun trigger. In DCS A-10 i have freaking 5 guntrigger options and i truly dont have a single clue which one to assign. Probably im just to dum for this guys. Im flying around from airport to airport in an empty vast space...all alone...by myself..not knowing what to do:cry:

Sounds like your doing well then, at least your in the air and finding airports!

 

The HOTAS system takes a while to sink in. It will do though. Have a look at the diagrams / make your own, look for the patterns. Dont sweat it, it will suddenly come to you. Do the instant action over and over. The easy one. start with the gun. Rockets. CCIP is easy. CCRP quite easy. TGP leads to LGB and Maverick..Maverick was the hardest for me. Delighted when I eventually got one to rifle off. Yeah just keep at it.

 

Dont know why theres 5 trigger buttons though I can think of two for the gun, one really since you can get started without the PAC. I only have one stage on my trigger so have to modify for pac

Have you tried the training missions ? There's one specific for HOTAS . And you only have 3 triggers : one for stabilisation on where you aim with the cannon another to shoot with the cannon and a third one to release a weapon wich is under the wings. And for the china hat forward long for example is it really that hard to understant that you just have to map the china hat forward with a button on your stick and then , push it .. Long ? As it says ..
