hassata Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Hi: Does anyone know exactly what these do in the Mission Editor, and how to properly use them? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Jester_159th Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 AFAIK, If you set up a a flight path with a setion marked begin and end loop, the AI flight will fly from the begin loop point to the end loop point and then continue to refly the waypoints in between until it's low on fuel at which time it will RTB. I find it particularly useful for setting up cycle track routes for AWACs or tankers. I would suppose it would be useful for setting up CAP flights as well, although I haven't tried that.
hassata Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 Makes sense-thanks! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 As Jester said, very useful for tankers or AWACS. And they don't have to be lonely up there either, give them a couple of escorting fighters. No need to put in another bunch of waypoints, remember you can add a second flight and they'll follow your AWACS a couple of miles back....... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
