unclemiller Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Hi,:helpsmilie: Steam is having a sale on A10 and Blackshark and I am considering getting both. Will the BS2 upgrade be compatible with the Steam version and will any future releases (FC3 by chance) be Steam compatible or downloadable ? I like using Steam due to the automatic updating of games and that I can also go from computer to computer and have the same settings. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, Unclemiller
Slazi Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 BS2 upgrade is compatible with Steam. I say go for it! BS2 is a great game, I've never tried A10, I love rotors!
EtherealN Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Be adviced that, as far as reports I've been getting (so far haven't had the moment to verify this, holidays and all) Steam is currently lagging a bit behind on patching A-10C. :( BS2 upgrade installer is compatible with Steam version of BS1. Whether FC3 and other releases will be on Steam isn't something I can say anything definitive on, but if I were to guess I'd say FC3 will not be, but DCS:Next will be. Combined Arms I'd also suspect would require separate purchase. But again, I have to stress this: I am not involved with any of that, so this is just me making an educated guess based on history and some limited knowledge. Of course, ED does want to put as much as possible on Steam since it's a great sales channel, but everything always relies on getting the deal to come through and assorted legal matters.
