EtherealN Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Data comparison between 430 and 6750: Pixel Fillrate: 2.8 GP/s | 11.2 GP/s Texel Fillrate: 5.6 GT/s | 25.2 GT/s Memory Bandwidth: 28.8 GB/s | 73.6GB/s Raw compute: 268.8 GFLOPs | 1008 GFLOPs So yeah, definitely better. Those are of course raw numbers and might not exactly guide the relative performance in specific games, but they are a good hint to the general performance delta. Just make sure to check that you have any required power connectors, that your mobo has PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and those things. It is apparently only an 80ish watt card, meaning it might even not need power connectors. (If my memory serves, PCIe2.0 allows up to 150w on it's own power bus.) Lane Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) A bit different for PCI express 2.0.. The motherboard slot = 75W a 6Pin external connectors ( from PSU ) = +75W a 8pin external connectors ( from PSU ) = +150W if the card is around 80W TDP, i dont think too he need to be powered by the PSU . Supersheep Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I have not touched the campaigns yet, but the Editor and the Multiplayer should keep you rolling for a looong time. Joining a group to fly with is not as daunting as it sounds (as I learned myself), there are groups for all tastes around. And someone once said "[firing that gun] never gets old...". Right on.
