Rhinox Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 OMG, not again! Why people write questions before they use search-engine remains mystery to me. (removed, search yourself!) 2

Devrim Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 My laptop was Dell Inspiron Core i5, 4GB RAM and ATI HD5470 1GB. I could play BS1 well. But there were some issues about BS2. FPS was droping under 20. Now; your system's specs are better then my laptop. So I'm thinking that you can get really good performance with it. EtherealN Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Rhinox, if you don't have anything to add that is helpful, don't post. Bee_Sting, that machine looks acceptable, but only barely. http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6770M.43955.0.html I'm most worried about that GPU component. A check on the Vantage scores indicated that it is slower than the 560M by a relatively wide margin, and the 560M is already only roughly equivalent to a desktop 550. You'll be able to run games, and some of them relatively well, including pretty new ones, but it's not a "desktop replacement" by any stretch. Notebookcheck summarises it like this: "The 3D performance is slightly better than the GeForce GT 555M and therefore positioned in the upper middle class (in 2011). Demanding games like Anno 2070 or Skyrim can only be played in medium detail settings and lower resolutions. Some games like Battlefield 3 may even only run in low detail settings. Older games hovever like Call of Duty: Black Ops are playable with all settings maxed." That laptop will struggle with DCS due to it not having a great dedicated GPU!!! May i suggest that you state how much you are spending in a laptop so i can advise you to GET A DESKTOP which will mean that you will get more for your money and also will allow you to play games smoother and with higher settings than that of a laptop "Too Tall" SQ 213 i7 870 / 8GB RAM 1333MHz / 2x500Gb Hard Drives @7200 RPM / Windows 7 64 bit / ATI Sapphire 6870 / Asus P7P55D-E / NZXT Phantom Case/ Corsair H80 liquid and fan cooler.
