Hokay so...

 

Haven't been in the sim bis for a bit. I have reg lomac, flaming cliffs 1(?) and the first black shark...

 

From what I see FC 2 enables the BS to be flown with all the other aircrafts with lockon. I guess here is my question.

 

Do I need BS2 for flaming cliffs 2 and if I don't what will I not be able to do or will I be restricted from playing with other people. Also do I need the A-10 upgrade and what will I be restricted from doing if I don't get the A-10 model? Same goes for FC3 w/e that brings will I need all the upgrades for the BS and A-10 to come I guess if there are any?

 

Very confusing but any help is needed did a quick search and didn't find exactly what I was looking for, thanks.

if you want to fly with FC2 guys, you want to have BS1.

 

if you want to fly with the A10C guys , you'll need BS2.

 

The idea behind FC3 is that it will bring all 3 titles under one common ability to play together.

 

If you do not buy DCS a10C, you will still be able to fly in all the FC2 servers and any BS server your title matches.

If I get BS2 will I need to buy A10 in order to just fly with them?

 

To me it seems like you just need to buy everything in order to fly with people... I could be confused.

No, you don't need A-10 to fly with people who fly A-10C's.

 

You need A-10C to fly A-10C.

 

The following are on-line compatible (in other words, if you own one, you can join an online game started by the other(s) ) :

 

1. FC2 and BS1

2. FC3, BS2, A-10C (ie. FC2 and BS1 will not work with those)

 

FC3 is not out yet, but it is being worked on.
