Suchacz Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Does anyone have an idea how to make TrackIR 2 work with 64bit BS2? Per aspera ad astra! Crashmo Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 trackir2 Yep, I just read this on the TrackIR site tonight and got it to work. If this doesn't work for you--go to the TrackIR site and look in the forums. I found it quickly so you should too. First look in the software/driver download area and under the 4.1.038 and you will see (show older v4 releases). http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06-support/support-download-software-and-manuals.html This should be the page. Find the 4.1.03 Final B. Download that. Then download the 3.13 software, which is the originally compatable last release for the TrackIR2. You will find that somewhere in the older software link at the bottom of one of the pages. Before you plug the TrackIR unit in, run the 4.1.03 install. During install it will ask you which components do you wish to install. Only install the USB driver--or drivers from this. Then install the 3.13 software Then plug in your unit. That's it. Good Hunting. Hope this helps, it did for me. PM me if you have troubles.

My tir2 is working with BS1 well (after using of trackirfixer) But BS2 has 64bit dll libraries, so trackirfixer is useless and tir2 doesn't work anymore with it. It can be used only in "mouse emulation" mode. It is not as acurate and smooth as normal tracking mode, but it's better than nothing. But anyway... next week, I will have tir4 bought from my friend, so my problems are solved (I hope...) :joystick::v: But if anyone has some solution to this problem, write it down, it can be usefull to somebody else  Per aspera ad astra! Crashmo Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 This is all good to know. I've been mostly playing Warthog, but I have BS2 loaded as well. I actually borrowed a TIR2 from a friend to try out, but I think, like you, there will be a 4Pro or 5 in my near future. Thanks for the info.
Suchacz Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 BTW... TrackIR can work as Freetrack camera. But I can't use that, because Freetrack is not working on my system for some strange reason. With freetrack you can use tir2 in 6dof space! http://naturalpointofview.blogspot.com/p/trackir-cameras-with-freetrack.html Per aspera ad astra!
