windyman56
I decided to start a quick mission when I got this game today, and the game, no matter what settings I have it on, flickers and does not display properly. On high: the game just sits there with a black A-10 over properly textured terrain. On medium, the game sits there with a properly textured A-10 and properly textured terrain. On low, the game just shows a black screen. I'm running version 1.1.0.9. My system specs are as follows: Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Sony Corporation System Model: VPCCW17FX BIOS: BIOS Date: 05/09/08 11:12:06 Ver: 08.00.10 Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4064MB RAM Page File: 2160MB used, 5963MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 32bit Unicode Edited February 21, 2012 by windyman56
beers
Take note of the video reference in the minimum requirements. Minimum system requirements: Operating system: Windows XP, Vista or 7; Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz; Memory: 3 GB; Free hard disk space: 7 GB; Video: 512 MB RAM card, DirectX 9 - compatible; Sound: DirectX 9.0c - compatible; requires internet activation. Your Sony specs read: Video RAM: 256MB dedicated video ram. And then take note of the many posts by people in this forum talking about overclocking their i7 CPU's and consider that a Duo @ 2.2 is half the CPU speed that I am running at. 2600K @ 4.2GHz, MSI P67A-GD55, 16GB G.Skill @2133 , GTX 970, Rift, SSD boot & DCS drive [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
