Why do my radios not work after editing missions.

Sounds like an options.lua file is getting created in the .miz that is over-riding your settings. Lemme guess, you use easy radio mode (the "\" key)? The options.lua file is likely over-riding you into realistic radio mode where you actually need to use the mic switch on the HOTAS. Anyway, help us help you: upload an example mission, please.

Thanks for the reply. Simply put, our clan just started playing dcs a-10c and most of us have never played a flight sim before, most of us are tired of FPS, some of the guys want labels on until they get used to flying. When I edit one the missions included with the game to show labels no one can rearm or refuel? I will download SLmod but im a noob to this kind of stuff and will have to do more reading and you tube watching to use it. Thanks again

1) Make sure you have easy radio mode enabled in the single player GUI. If you had realistic radio mode enabled, when you saved the new, edited version of the mission, it could have been saving your settings over the default.

If that doesn't help, then please upload one of these missions where you are having this problem to the forums. I need to extract and examine the contents of the mission to really understand what is going on. The way ED does the mission options still confuses me, and I haven't quite figured out the system yet. I don't think that easy radio comms is an option in the mission editor (or is it? I can't remember for sure).

I will download SLmod

What for? You only need it if you are going to host multiplayer missions that require it. If not, if you're just flying regular stock missions with slight edits, forget about it.

Please forgive me but im new at this, we all use HOTAS mic switches. When we land at our home airport we key up the ground crew to re-arm and we get no response. The only thing I changed in this map is to enable labels. We have our radios set to the same freq(interphone(main) for ground crew) but when we key up and ask for them to re-arm us we get no resopnse. All of our radios work fine on all maps except when we change something. Here is a map I edited, again the only thing I changed was labels. Its quite possible im a moron and don't have the radios set right ingame but im at a loss on this one. I only play MP and on maps with at least 5 planes to fly. Thanks again for looking into this.

Ok, as to why the radios don't work, there are no friendly units at the airbase you're spawning at to set the coalition to blue. I added a Patriot battery, that should fix that. Additionally, this mission is known to have a trigger logic error that will in almost all cases prevent it from working as it was intended. I fixed that too. Please tell me this fixes your issue.

Wow, how stupid am I. It works great. Thanks for wasting your time on me, lol.

It's not stupid, air units spawning at a base would set the coalition up into one of the more recent patches. IMO, requiring ground units is a better system, as now mission makers can disable rearming and refueling.
