Dampire Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Hi all! As the title says, I am having a little problem with this "rolling", using Saitek X65-f. The point is, as soon as I start flying (any jet), the jet starts to roll gently to the right (Clockwise). Before asking here for some help, I googled this problem and I didn't find any answer which could help me. This is no trim problem ether because I test it, doing a reset before each fly. I did some test though, to see if it was a bad function with my joystick or not. 1-Flew LOMAC, using the same joy. No problem found. The jet flew straight. 2- I decided to try another 2 games: Battlefield 2 and Hawx using the same joy. Didn't find any problems during the test. 3- Decided to replace the joy for an old Saitek X52 Pro to see if the same problem could occur on FC2, however nothing again. I didn't have any problem. So right now I'm asking for some help. Could you guys help me with this "bug"/problem? :helpsmilie:
Dampire Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 I thought that too, but it seems to be very unlikely. I'm saying that because this problem is occurring with the jets selected on the Quick Start mode. What do you think?
EtherealN Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Have you checked if the control axis configurations accidently duplicate things? This may depend on which stick is paired with which other peripheral - I usually see my toebreaks get autoassigned to primary control axes, for example. Might be that using the X52 with, for example, Saitek pedals causes the system (or relevant drivers, I dunno) to figure out which is which and not duplicate, while the newer HOTAS doesn't get recognized in this way and controls get assigned to both pedals and the HOTAS. It might be helpful to see a track file where you have the Ctrl-Enter input display up, just to see the exact nature of what is going on. Dampire Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Thanks EtherealN for your help. Good points mentioned here. I also have to say that I'm using combat rudders too (Saitek). I tried to see if by clearing out the rudder axis the problem could be solved. Again, the problem persisted. Anyway, what about the track file that you mentioned? Where should I try this? I tried to use Ctrl-Enter in game, but no effects. Thanks for your help!
EtherealN Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Oh, try the other Ctrl - LCtrl and RCtrl are considered different keys by the simulator, and I always forget which one of those it is. Basically start the flight, hit RCtrl-Enter, and you'll see a little red box down left on the screen. Then provoke the problem a couple times and exit the flight. Then click "Save Track" and attach it to a post here through the "Go Advanced" and paperclip icons. blackbelter Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I had the same problem some time ago. As a complete newbie, I was playing FC1. I couldn't land because my Su27 is constantly banking to the left. Initially I thought my joystick (X52) was faulty. I stopped for about 3 years, and restarted playing the game (FC2) with the same joystick, but with a new joystick profile. The problem is gone. So you might also want to try a new profile, especially if you have messed around with the axis settings of your joystick.
EtherealN Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Hm. There's a thought - Dampire, do you have axis settings both in profiler and in the simulator itself? Dampire Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 Here is the track saved. Basically I took off and I let the jet turns. After that, I canceled the game and there was an option to save the fly. That's how I did. I couldn't make that commands working. I don't know why. About the profiles. After realizing about the problem I deleted and uninstalled all Saitek programs and folder, even the profiles. Thanks guys for your help!! :thumbup:TEST.trk
