The testing involved to prove it works reliably is just not worth the hassle, as it seemed to work sometimes and not others. I now either list all units with an 'or' condition and if that is not feasible find another way to get the desired result. I was keeping an eye on this post to see if you'd get an answer. Yikes. At least we have the clone button now though... you ever try mission building with the BS1/FC2 mission editor? Blindspot's mod made it better, but before... let's just say it took me like two months to build a FC2/BS1 co-op mission with 700ish triggers. Hmm.. I know it doesn't appeal to you in particular, but come to think of it, I could easily make an Slmod function that will work for this! Slmod.units_in_zones. Would be substantially easier than cloning 40 conditions, in this case. I wouldn't expect such a function to be needed very often, but sometimes...
