Harzach Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) You've got the right type of unit designating, and it appears to be configured properly, but it is over 5km from the target, which I think may be too far. There may also be line-of-sight issues. Try moving it closer - @ 1km, then progressively move it back to see where the threshold is. Edited March 19, 2012 by Harzach

Harzach Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) How are you determining that the IR pointer is not activating? The mission as you posted it has no player aircraft - are you actually placing a player aircraft, flying the mission, contacting the JTAC and calling for "sparkle" on target? Otherwise, the JTAC will just sit there. He won't lase the target on his own. Edited March 19, 2012 by Harzach

Harzach Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Still too far away. I know it looks like it's very close in the ME map, but it's still @3km out. Try this one, then move it back until you don't get the SPARKLE option - apparently you can get 2km out before it's too far.ir test 1km.miz
