Daniel M Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Bs2 Win 7 64 bit, logitech g15 but also applies to laptop built in keyboard I installed bs2, US is my default (ime) keyboard, en default language. But it appears the game picked up my keyboard as japanese. At the time of the install I had english and japanese installed. For instance if I hit the ~ key, the controls try to map it as "kanji" button. I wouldn't have a problem remapping, but I am not going to be able to replicate that key press in my hotas software. Any suggestions? I'm hoping there's an option in one of the lua's to switch from en-jp to en-us or something like that? I have tried removing japanese from the ime, but the game still picks up the keyboard as jp. Thanks
Panzertard Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 The sim should pick up any new keyboard configuration from windows if you: 1. Properly configure the Windows Control panel, Keyboard layout & language options. We may get into details of that later, if required. 2. Reset any previously saved Keyboard configurations. If this is DCS BSv2 and Win7, you'll find the profile stored under: C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\DCS BlackShark 2\Config\Input\ka-50\keyboard Otherwise if DCS BSv1 / other os - you may have to check the Install-dir to find it. By reset to defaults; Removing any files created after installation, keeping original DCS-files (if v1 or other OS). If v2 & Win7, you can rename the whole (config) folder.
