mrboop Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Could anyone help me with assigning the tower to another key. My F12 key is dedicated to the wireless on off. its a bummer:mad:
PeterP Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 (edited) As we don't know anything more that you have a F12 key on your system and nothing about the DCS version you are using , there is only one advise I can give you: go to start > Control Panel > (All Control Panel Items > ) Keyboard And search for the function to change the macros for your F-keys and try to un-map this key from the "wireless" function. mrboop Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 I actually have the lock on program, I did call HP and they said i could not remap the function keys. I was wondering if there was any way I can use the logitech extreme joystick somehow to use the f12 key. can find a way to do that. Also when i start lock on i do see the option for the joystick. i cant find a way to use it either for the f12.
PeterP Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 (edited) I did call HP and they said i could not remap the function keys*:megalol: really funny people at HP ! I hope these folks are not forced to use their own products during daily office work...:P* Use autohotkey to remap a unused key to f12 while running LockOn. >> http://www.autohotkey.com/ Remap a key: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/misc/Remap.htm example .AHK script for the "e" key acting as "F12": #NoEnv #Warn SendMode Input SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% e::F12edit the "e" to your needs. Check the keyboard-layout of LockOn to find a unused key command. Edited April 11, 2012 by PeterP
Polo Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 My HP Laptop (DV6 I think) has an option in the BIOS to toggle the function keys so that they output F1, F2 etc. rather than the Wireless on/off, screen brightness etc. Otherwise you might be able to get F12 by pressing the 'Fn' key down near the Control and Alt keys, along with the F12/Wireless button.
