It's so funny to me how ED works with a 6 month thing. For a "true" promise date, add 6 months to what they say to get closer to what it will REALLY be. Expect a patch for this product 6 months after release, despite that they "think" it will be ready in about a month.

 

In Lomac's history, the only time that I can think of that it didn't go down like this was 1.01, and I'm assuming that it was Ubi who was pushing them for it. Personally, even though 1.01 had alot of problems, I was pleased with the speed it came out and thought it was much better than 1.0. But then of course we had the 6 month wait for 1.02 . . .

Thank's for reply Alpha, guess we all understand complexities of working through the patch. The frustration is lack of updates which we only get

through you guys when we don't let it rest. A reasonable amount of communication would get us talking about the game again instead of all these starforce and patch delay gripes. Given how long this patch has taken surely

there are some features/enhancements or even at a push amusing anecdotes ED can release to keep us going.

 

Yeah I realise that everyone is getting a little impatient by now, but as far as giving updates there really isnt much to say - Matt has outlined the main features of the patch and the actual testing is just a matter of checking if these things are working ok and that nothing else got "porked" in the process :)

Not exactly........Last cake we had, Rugg popped out himself in a American flag g-string bikini, singing "Happy birthday Mr. President."

We lost several members that day :P

i mean all that stuff is grate but the pic look like the same as lockon 1.1

 

Well 1.2 is an add-on to Lock-on, so naturally the scenery will look similar :) . But bare in mind that the published screenies are from the alpha version, so some things might change yet :)

 

the ground in 1.1 is ok for a jet flying hi off the ground. but not for a helo. is the AI going to be able to see you behind trees and stuff

 

I believe the bit about being able to target through trees and buildings is amoung the things which will be addressed - again I havent even seen the alpha version yet, so I am not really in a position to give you any information about 1.2 that hasnt already been made public by ED.

 

..and what about people shooting you down whith small arms.

 

I am not sure about small arms, but I believe that some additional AAA units are under consideration.

 

Im sher it would take you a long time to do all that stuff. but just doing the stuff your talking about should not take that long unless you are doing this whith like 3 people. :)

 

You might be closer to the actual situation than you realise ;) - I believe that the AFM for the Su-25T was designed and coded more or less by a single person......and took some 6 months to complete :)

That has a ring of truth to it. Full make-up again?

 

 

What's really going to suck is that after all this time for this patch, there will still be plenty of bugs in 1.11. Unless Wags was holding out on us in his updates.

whell i have changed my mind. and feal your pain one person working on 3d design and matrix is a time comsumming thing. i thought you gyes had 20 to 30 people working on 1 project. i did not mean to sound like an ass i just was disappointed. and i was led to beleve that it was comeing soon as i said i was geting ready to pre-pay or pre-order . and have not played a good helo game in a long time.
