ErichVon Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) Greetings, I have been playing DCS sims for about a year now, both the A-10C 1st, then for a few months, now, Black Shark 2.0 offline and Multiplayer and 1.0.2 Multiplayer in FC2; and to a lesser extent, FC2. I use a CH Products .map created by Crunch I found to CH Hanger for Black Shark. I just added FC2 (I have the LockOn Platinum boxed set), TeamSpeak 3 and TrackIr5 with the Track Clip Pro. I was running fine until I added these add-ons. When I came out of playing Black Shark 2 to switch to DCS: Warthog, I noticed in my CH Control Manager and also in the Warthog's Option's Controllers, my controllers were gone. I checked the game profile in Windows and it was also vacant, all 3 controllers: Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals. So I called CH by land-line phone to California for the proper sequence to uninstall and then reinstall the CH Control Manager. I had to do this two separate times. After the 2nd identical incident, I unhooked TrackIR 5 (still installed), but kept the FC2 and TeamSpeak 3. My setup runs fine, currently. I can change games without incident, even other games using differrent CH Control Manager .maps . The only other thing I did recently before adding the add-ons, a week back or so, in BIOS, I disabled the Intel EIST "SpeedStep", because I read in one of the BS Sticky's having this on could cause stutters---still experimenting. Not having this enabled causes most YouTube videos not to be seen when played. But I have another PC for the not-gaming world. I was using a powered Belkin 4 socket USB hub. Currently my 3 CH controllers are plugged directly in to the rear of my machine. TeamSpeak3 is still installed. TrackIR5 is still installed, but the USB plug is not plugged in to the machine. Does anybody have ideas as to what is going on? =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= My Gaming Machine: ============= Alienware Aurora-R3 desktop Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit Dual 1GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GT 545 - SLI Enabled graphics card 1 TB RAID 0 (2 x 500GB) Hybrid S ATA-II CPU is an Intel Core i7-2600 (8MB Cache) overclocked Turbo Boost to 3.9 GHZ (factory set) 8GB dual channel DDR3 ram at 1333M Hz. PSU is 875 watts Liquid Cooled Currently my Internet connection is DSL running at usually a steady 3.9GHz. download speed, yeah, it is slow. (Cable RoadRunner Turbo will be switched to in September 2012 which runs around 30GHz. in my area in New York State, USA) Edited April 25, 2012 by ErichVon
CubPilot Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Not sure if this will cure or help find the problem. It might be a USB thing, if TrackIR is causing it I don't know. I do know of some cases of the Cougar (ya, I know, a dirty word to some CH users) losing the USB connection and that USB port would no longer work with the Cougar. Not exactly the same as your problem, but this utility would fix the USB communication problem. What can be done is to unplug your joystick, throttle, etc. and then open the utility and delete every instance of USB connections related to your controllers (this includes items that were connected but not connected at the moment), then plug your controllers back in again. This would fix the Cougar problem. Seems the USB registry (for lack of a better word) would be cleaned of old USB connections and this helped get things back to normal. Download USBDview here. It will give a lot of info about the USB devices connected to or that were connected to your computer. :pilotfly: Edited May 1, 2012 by CubPilot [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win7 Pro 64 | Asus Rampage III Extreme |Swiftech H2O cooled: CPU, Video, N.
