26-J39
Firstly, loving the P-51 great job so far ED :) No bugs here but more a suggestion ;) Considering the time period of the P-51's day I think it would be great if the mission builder was able to set player/client TO on a grass strip. Not asking for a re-modeled airfield, just the ability to "take off from ramp" anywhere on the map (providing flat ground of course :smartass:). There are great ground infrastructure models already in DCS, be cool to setup a nice airfield out in the grassy plains :) Are there any plans to free this monster lawn mower? btw- Many areas on the map are suitable and it is no problem TO & land safely on grass. Tested OK :D :joystick: Cheers Jay
Revelation
This was mentioned a while back by another member on this forum and some of the mods thought it was a great idea and would pass it along. You could always take an aircraft put it anywhere you want set it's altitude to 0, speed 0 and it should spawn on the ground. The P-51 can takeoff from grass already so you should be good to go. XarBat
Glad to hear you have taken off and landed on grass ok with the P-51. This option should definitely be in the editor for all the helicopters as well; the ability for a cold or warm start without the farp, which looks ridiculous when it is close to enemies.
