Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Before DCS World, I use the Logitech Profiler for both BS2 and A-10C and have all the controls programmed for both the sims. This is possible because the executable dcs.exe are in separate respective folders for each sim even though it has the same name. However, with DCS World, it looks like the dcs.exe binary is shared by both BS2 and A10-C from the same directory path making it impossible to program the Logitech profiler for each individual sim. Any ideas on a solution to this problem would be appreciated. Otherwise, I am stuck with versions 1.1.1.1 of the sims :(
Panzertard Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) Possibly - you could keep separate installs of DCS World+<my-favorite-module>. You still need a full 1. DCS World 2. <yourmodule> 3. Make a separate Shortcut pointing to the module EXE's. Also include -w "DCS MyModule" to specify which \Saved Games\<folder> it should store settings for. This way you get a unique path for all products. Downside: You need to quit DCS every time you want to fly another Aircraft. Ex shortcuts: MyKA50 SP: "C:\DCS World KA50\bin\Launcher.exe" -w "DCS MyKA50" MyKA50 MP: "C:\DCS World KA50\bin\DCS.exe" -w "DCS MyKA50" --net-mode gui MyP51D SP: "C:\DCS World P51D\bin\Launcher.exe" -w "DCS MyP51D" MyP51D MP: "C:\DCS World P51D\bin\DCS.exe" -w "DCS MyP51D" --net-mode gui Make sure you set the 'Start in' and 'Target' for all Shortcuts. Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Sorry, I'm not following.....you mean install the modules in different folders? I really hope ED will address this or I'm sol :(
Panzertard Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Refresh the thread please, I edited my post a bit. Yes, do it like the old days - a separate full install per product (pre 1.2.0). The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Trojka Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Logitech profiler persistent profile Maybe you have to try out a persistent profile, which you can change for each DCS module (in your case BS2 and A-10C). This way the profiler will use its game settings independent of which .exe you start. Go to > Options > Global Profiler Settings > choose "Apply persistent profile" > choose "your game profile name". Change this each time you change playing either BS2 or A-10C. In case profiler does not recognize which DCS module is running, it will work anyway.
