Perry Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 AI aircraft use the same flight dynamic system as player-controlled aircraft. I don't understand this feature for the LockOn Blackshark project. Can somebody explain it to me ? To me it seems that if i fly a mission with a F-15 or Su 25 or Ka-50, all the other planes in the theatre will use the same FM than me. If this is what I think, it could lead to strange behaviour : AWACS flying like fighters or fighters flying like Su-25, etc...
GGTharos Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Have you ever noticed a wingman that you left behind pull right up to you while you're in full afterburner? I think that should hint at a different FM ;) How about the incredible slow-speed climbing capability of the AI? Or the ability to fly at ridiculously slow speeds at high altitudes? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Weta43 Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 They mean that at present when you fly an F15, your AI wingman flies his F15s using a different, (simplified?) F15 flight model. They just mean human & AI using the same type of plane will have the same flight model, not that all planes will use the specific flight model that the player is using (or what would you do online?) Cheers.
Perry Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 Ok ! thank you very much GGTharos and Weta43.
