Airway Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Hello. Had BS2 and A10C previously installed (v.1.1.1. ENG) as full versions. Installed DCS: World 1.2.0, then the modules for BS2 and A10C in 1.2.0. Now when I start DCS: World and want to launch a mission in A10C or BS2 it ends up in a window asking for my Serial Number for Black Shark 2. I enter exactly the same serial that is written in my online account on http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com but the window keeps telling me: "Invalid Hardware Code. Make sure the Serial Number used is valid for the product you are trying to activate, generate a new Hardware Code and try again." So what to do now?
Buzpilot Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 If you upgraded something before DCS:World, maybe you need to deactivate first, and then activate. Not sure this will help. i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Airway Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 That would have been against the clear advise "Note: Do NOT deactivate your products! Delete \Saved Games\DCS files Install DCS World 1.2.0 Install each new DCS module (1.2.0 or latest Beta version) Note: A new activation will not be required unless this is the first time you have installed the product."
Airway Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 My fault. Simply solved by using the correct Patch version http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=13&end_pos=136&lang=en Everything fine now
fbass Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 YIKES - Nothing works I uninstalled all of my DCS aircraft (A-10, KA-50, and P-51). I installed DCS World and then re-installed each aircraft using the proper (I think) download files. A-10C_1.2.0.63205 KA-50_1.2.0.63205 P-51D_1.2.0.63205 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205-1 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205-2 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205-3 Now none of the serial numbers I have will allow access to the individual aircraft. I get this same error - Invalid Hardware Code. Also, when I try to fly one aircraft the window banner title for the error says that "this aircraft must be activate." Only it says "Black Shark 2" even though I didn't select that aircraft. Can someone help? Frank
Mogs Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 This game is soooo complicated to run. It should never be this difficult. They should have clear instructions of what to do. And they don't.
